The village is named after the famous Norman resort Doville, located in the north-west of France, 200 km from Paris.

Before the Duke of Charles de Morny Doville, it was only a small modest village. The duke in 1858 began to create a real “kingdom of elegance” for a political and art elite.

Today, Doville is one of the most expensive and prestigious resorts.

The elite cottage village "Doville" is the Russian version of the fashionable Napoleonic resort on the banks of the La Mansh. Sketches of the mansions were created by the famous French architect Jean Remy. Among them there are modern, Renaissance, and even Gothic.
