The story of the place
In 1882, the All-Russian industrial and art exhibition was held at the location of the complex, where the great achievements of the empire were presented. For the arrival of the emperor, a special royal pavilion was built here, which has been preserved to this day.
The name of the complex is associated with the royal pavilion and the area with the fountains in front of it. The housings of the The residential complex are associated with the Romanov dynasty: Yekaterininsky, Romanovsky, Petrovsky and Aleksandrovsky.
